The Cask of Amontillado

The Cask of Amontillado was published in 1846. It was Poe’s last, and some say greatest, short story. It’s a tale of revenge, murder and torture. It’s also a journey into the dark and mysterious recesses of the human psyche.

This film was the recipient of a 2013 Mid-Atlantic Emmy® Award for Best Educational Program and is used in schools across the United States as a teaching tool.

The Raven

The Raven was published in 1845 and was by far Poe’s most popular work catapulting him into instant fame. It has become a cultural icon for its symbolism and dark imagery.

This film was the recipient of a 2015 Mid-Atlantic Emmy® Award for Best Educational Program. It also received two Emmy nods in the craft categories for Best Editing and Best Original Music Composition. It is used as a teaching tool in schools throughout the United States.
